RockyMountainExtreme has suggested that the music sub-board could be split into 4 separate sub-boards; "Rock/Metal", "Pop/R&B", "Rap/Hip-Hop" and "Other" (for general discussion of music topics). The "Music" sub-board is currently the most active sub-board in the "Entertainment" board and it has more posts/threads than the other sub-boards combined. The idea behind creating four separate music sub-boards, is that not everyone is into the same type of music and having four separate music sub-boards could encourage more discussion. What is your opinion on it? Should the "Music" sub-board be broken down into four separate sub-boards? If you don't agree with the idea or you would like to suggest something else, please don't be afraid to share your opinion! Everyone has an equal say on what should or shouldn't be changed.

* I forgot to mention this in my earlier post. If we all decided to split the music board into separate sub-boards, do you think the "Music" board should remain as a sub-board of the "Entertainment" board or do you think it should be it's own separate board altogether?

It sounds like a plausible idea in practice, since a lot of us have pretty different taste in music, but I'm not sure that this site experiences enough traffic yet that it's really necessary.

I don’t really see the point in doing so. Yeah everyone isn’t into the same type of music. Doesn’t mean you can’t post on the music section. And the 4 sections likely won’t be posted in a lot unless you start to gain more active members.

I see your point and I agree that it would be most ideal if there were more active members on the forum. However, on the flip side of the coin, it's possible that the four music sub-boards may encourage more people to sign up. I can see both sides of the argument.

I think it would be a good idea because it'll be easier to find people who share your same music taste and could even help find friends too.
I support the idea as well.
