I remember a girl in my English class last year, said that she would find it impossible to go 24 hours without ever going online. How do you think you would go? Could you easily go a day without going on the internet, or would you find it really difficult?
I think I could, but I must admit, it wouldn't be easy.

Never. I have to use Internet at school, so it already counteracts.

I sort of was without Internet for almost 24 hours during late 2013 when we an ice storm downed the power lines and the phone tower as well. I'm not sure if it was 24 hours, but it was an entire day, almost. I hated it Actually, not having electricity was the worst part. I played shadow puppets with my family, read a book under candle-light, went to sleep in my jacket (it was winter). The next morning I had breakfast, played cards with my brothers, and in the afternoon we finished the sudoku in the newspapers of the past 2-3 days we had, and moved onto doing the crosswords. It was just about evening before the service on my phone came back on and I can go on the Internet again! Of course I used my last bit of juice to find answers to that crossword. Lesson learnt: crosswords are impossible without Internet Another lesson I learnt was that without Internet/electronics for entertainment, you have to get entertainment from your family/friends/neighbours. Even though it was awful, it brought us all closer together.

Easily. Done it twice in the last 2 years. In 2016, my state had a power blackout for over 24 hours. Last year I was in hospital for 3 days and without net access in that time. Didn't miss it tbh.

I will be extremely honest with this thread.
No. I wouldn't be able to do it. There is nothing much to do at my house. We have a very big backyard with absolutely nothing in it which doesn't make sense to me. My older siblings have to work as well as my parents. I don't have siblings close to my age to hang out with. Getting in touch with my friends would be harder because I don't have the Internet to talk to them easily. I have two dogs and that's about it.
If the weather was extremely nice, it would be a lot easier and I might be able to do it by riding my bike around the neighborhood and going to the park, but if it's raining really hard then I wouldn't be able to do it.

I went through most of 2015 and 2016 without internet, so a day would be a breeze

Lesson learnt: crosswords are impossible without Internet Another lesson I learnt was that without Internet/electronics for entertainment, you have to get entertainment from your family/friends/neighbours. Even though it was awful, it brought us all closer together. I don't blame you! People don't realise how much they rely on electricity in everyday life, so going without it for almost 24 hours definitely would have been a struggle! It's good to hear that you and your family bonded during that time though. I will be extremely honest with this thread. No. I wouldn't be able to do it. There is nothing much to do at my house. If the weather was extremely nice, it would be a lot easier and I might be able to do it by riding my bike around the neighborhood and going to the park, but if it's raining really hard then I wouldn't be able to do it. That's understandable. In such a scenario, the only way you could get in contact with your friends, would be if you remembered their phone numbers or if you just decided to go over to their houses, if they lived nearby. It would be hard to get used to, either way!

Yes. Quite easy. I’ve done it numerous times before and have gone more than a single day without it before when I have other more important things that occupy my time.

I go all week sometimes without accessing the internet on my computer because I don't have the time. My phone is a different story, I check Reddit and Instagram daily. I suppose a week without even that would be possible.
