Doesn’t really have a lot to do with pop culture. No support. Not all subboards have to be pop culture related on this site. Not all sub boards on PerC are sociology related. It's best to have a variety of good topics worth talking about on a forum, discussions about pop culture can get boring after awhile. What about the Popedia lounge?

No support. That's what the unwind section is for. Exactly. Why do we need a tourism subboard when you have the Popedia lounge? You can't just keep on making more and more subboards.

Travel & Tourism is a hot topic that can result in numerous threads, using the Popedia lounge for those threads would just clog it up. I already stated that sub boards should only be added if they're topics that can enhance the site, (which is up to the mods to decide), and Travel & Tourism is one of them.

What I'm saying is that IF we were to limit topics about Travel & Tourism to the Popedia Lounge, then getting all the interesting threads related to it posted would require clogging up the Popedia Lounge. I know there are a lot of people on this forum who have an interest for geography, the culture and history of their own or different countries, and have a desire to travel to different countries. It would be nice to have our own sub board where we can discuss and share these topics. Trust me, it would not create a domino effect or slippery slope into multiple unnecessary sub boards, the admin and moderators are way smarter than that. They're only going to allow sub boards that enhance the experience of Popedia, not ones that water the experience down.

What I'm saying is that IF we were to limit topics about Travel & Tourism to the Popedia Lounge, then getting all the interesting threads related to it posted would require clogging up the Popedia Lounge. I agree. There are times when the Popedia Lounge can be quite active and have up to 6-8 new participated threads within a single day. Any threads based on Travel & Tourism would most likely be drowned out by more active threads, such as the "Weather & Climate" thread.

There's a difference though between a board being active vs. it being clogged/spammed with threads talking about the same topic, even though other topics are allowed.
