There have been a few significant changes to the forum over the past few days. Although you may already be aware of the changes which have been made, I thought it would be a good idea to create a thread based on the changes, to avoid any confusion. * Posts made in the Games & Trivia will now count towards member post counts. I'm not entirely supportive of the idea, but based off the result of this poll, it appears as though it's something most members want to see changed, which is why the decision has been made. * The Australia & New Zealand "Extra!" sub-board has been deleted. General radio topics (e.g AM/FM DX) will now be discussed in The Spectrum. The existing "Radio" board will be reserved to strictly discussing topics relating to Australian & New Zealand radio. * The Extra! board has been renamed as "The Spectrum". As such, the board now has an expanded focus on discussing current events, politics and general media topics. * As a result of this poll, we now have a "Travel & Tourism" board. The previous "What's Going On?" board has been deleted and all of the topics have been moved into the new Travel & Tourism board. * Due to a lack of activity, the "Tech Hub" has been deleted. All of the topics in the board have been moved over to the Popedia Lounge. If you have any concerns or you are unsure of anything, please let me or the moderating team know. Thanks.

Couldn't you have made Tech Hub a sub board instead? There were some good topics in it.

Nice info maybe a video game sub board categorized with decade sub-forums? Like 2010s Video Games, 2000s Video Games, 1990s Video Games as subforums?

I'm still with the idea that the Decade Den sub-boards should be pre-2000 (or pre-1990) with the 2000s and 2010s again on their own. There's some action in the 90s sub-forum, but not enough activity for the 70s and 80s to stand independently.

Couldn't you have made Tech Hub a sub board instead? There were some good topics in it. It's something I definitely considered, however I figured that it probably would have received even less activity if it became a sub-board. The Tech Hub board regularly went days without a new post being made and it wasn't exactly a good look for new visitors to the forum. Once more members join the forum and the interest is there, we can look into reviving the Tech Hub board. Nice info maybe a video game sub board categorized with decade sub-forums? Like 2010s Video Games, 2000s Video Games, 1990s Video Games as subforums? I like the idea, although i'm not sure if it would be worthwhile at the present time. The existing Gaming sub-board doesn't receive a lot of activity, so I personally don't think it would be necessary to divide it up into separate video game sub-boards. I'm still with the idea that the Decade Den sub-boards should be pre-2000 (or pre-1990) with the 2000s and 2010s again on their own. There's some action in the 90s sub-forum, but not enough activity for the 70s and 80s to stand independently. I can definitely see the merit in merging the pre-2000 sub-boards. It's something we can look into.
