This has been something I have thought about on numerous occasions in the past and i'm interested to hear what everyone else thinks of the topic. If Kerry Packer was still alive, do you believe he would be happy with the overall current state of the Nine Network or with the decisions the network has made in recent times (e.g not renewing Lisa Wilkinson's contract, the revitalisation of The NRL Footy Show) ?
I know this is completely hypothetical and there's no way of knowing what the network would be like if Kerry Packer was still alive, but I personally don't think he would have been entirely supportive with some of the decisions the network has made since his passing.

Somehow I'd imagine that if Kerry Packer was still alive for another decade or so, he might've sold off the Nine Network in the late 2000s before Digital TV really took off in Australia. I personally don't think he would have been entirely supportive with some of the decisions the network has made since his passing. Programming wise, I'd imagine content such as Big Brother, Married At First Sight and Love Island Australia probably wouldn't have made it to air under a Kerry Packer-owned Nine. And WIN might still be affiliated with the network.

And WIN might still be affiliated with the network. I'm not too sure about that. I think he might have viewed Digital TV as an exciting new medium and one that could potentially revolutionise free-to-air TV in Australia. Although, I guess we'll never know what his opinion of Digital TV was. I agree. Either way, it's interesting to think about. I personally think Nine would be very different if Kerry Packer was still alive today. The "dotless" logo probably wouldn't have lasted for as long as it did. It most likely would have served it's intended purpose (for Nine's 50th anniversary) and then the dots most likely would have returned later in the year. I also have my doubts that the "warehouse" Late 2006/2007" On-Air Presentation would have ever seen the light of day.
