As the title suggests, do you believe in God or are you skeptical about the idea of there being a supreme being?
I know this is a sensitive topic and i'm sorry if I offend anyone, but I personally don't believe there is a God. If there was a supreme being, why is there evil in the world, or suffering, or violence? I think God is just a conceived-creation which stems from people's desire to hope for something better. It's only natural that people want someone to turn to for advice when they are going through a tough period in their lives and the idea of a God, a supreme being who is looking out for them, brings a sense of security and comfort to the individual. That's just my opinion. I personally believe there is an afterlife of some kind, but I don't think there is a God, as such.

I was just talking about this with my mom yesterday when I got a new hamster because the other one escaped in my vent. She said “Maybe that was God’s way of saying you weren’t meant to be the owner of Lily” (Lily was the other pets name) I told her that I don’t really believe in God. She said “You better believe in him or else you’ll get bad karma”. And then I said “I respect your beliefs, but I just don’t believe in him.” She said “All my children will believe in God.” And I asked her “Where is the proof that God exists?” then she said “The bible.” Then she said “If there wasn’t a God, there would be no earth or Adam and Eve. There wouldn’t be life.”
In all honesty, I’m not going to follow my moms beliefs. I still don’t really believe in God. I mean, the idea of there being a man in the sky that knows absolutely everything about billions of lives is just crazy and unbelievable to me. The only person who is in control of what I do is me. I don’t believe in God, but my life is still pretty good. I just don’t like how my mom can’t accept the fact that I don’t believe in God. I really don’t care how mad she gets, to be honest. I won’t apologize for it and I won’t regret saying that I don’t believe in God. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter that much.

I still sometimes think he does exist heck i still pray to him over silly stuff, around 2016 or 2017 i almost became an athiest but my mom convinced me not to, currently i'm agnostic (if you don't know what it is search it up) it means for me i believe god is real i just don't believe that he created the earth.

Oh wow, kinda interesting how everyone's worldview leans more toward atheist/agnostic. I believe in God, in fact, most of my poetry mentions God in it. I'm a devout Christian but I don't shove my beliefs down anyone's thought.

Yo need to understand the original challenge that was made between God and the fallen one, it is simple to pass off the existence of God over, why is there evil, well read Genesis 1 verses 1 to 7 that will answer your question as to why there is evil, blaming God i feel is just an excuse man has to try and justify their reasoning. I have a forum about all this stuff full of info

Good for you for sticking to your beliefs. I'm atheist too.

I think there's something but unless I actually saw 'God' with my own eyes, it would be the only way I would have belief.

It is the same with a lot of people as Pinky stated, people say that often, seeing is believing. But in Jesus day he said to the Pharisees, you seek signs, no sign will be given, it is faith alone. But one day everyone will know

For me, it's complicated. I'll explain:
I'm a cultural Christian. That means that I've grown up in a Christian household. I also went to Sunday School growing up until I was about 13. I will probably always be a cultural Christian. However, I don't think that I will ever be a strongly religious person. I am more spiritual than I am religious. Also, I identify as a non-denominational Christian and I beleive in theistic evolution.
Basically theistic evolution is the belief that "evolution is real, but it was set in motion by God".
Now, that does not necessarily have to be the Judeo-Christian God that we normally think of but it can be a deity that is the creator of the universe. I do not believe that everything we know and the entire universe all came to fruition by accident (aka the Big Bang). I do believe that there is a supernatural being beyond our comprehension that created the universe.
Questions about the existence of Heaven & Hell and whether the God that created the universe is the Judeo-Christian God is a different story and for another time.
