You guys have taken our weather! It was forecast to reach to a top of 31 degrees yesterday but only got to 26c instead. Summer is over for us now. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‹

I don't want it to be hot when I go down to Tassie next month. I couldn't care less if it is as I'll be interstate next month! 😜 But, seeing as your like me and hate the heat then hopefully it doesn't get too warm during your short trip. If you don't mind asking, what are you doing while you're down here? 🙂

I've pretty much been to all of the tourist destinations on the North-West coast of Tasmania.

It was -16C in the morning! But very sunny. Right now in the evening it is -11C. Tomorrow it's going to be cold again but afterwards we'll be back into the single digits, phew! It reached 32 degrees at my location today. Didn't like it at all. If you could buy and sell heat, Australia would be rich ;D

Just out of interest, what are Smithton and Marrawah like? Are they worth visiting at all?

Yep and on numerous occasions. I haven't traveled to anywhere west of Stanley though. Just out of interest, what are Smithton and Marrawah like? Are they worth visiting at all? I have only ever visited Smithton once before out of the few times I’ve been up there over the years actually (when I was around 8-9 years old). From memory, my family stayed at Tall Timbers Hotel while travelling around.  There’s plenty of sightseeing tours in the region like Woolnorth, Tall Timbers Adventure Tours and Tarkine Forest Adventure (Arthur-Pieman Tours) to name few that I did. Allendale Gardens and Dismal Swamp are worth a look at if your interested that sort of thing. There’s a number of good quality spots and such around Marrawah with some really nice beaches like Green Point, Lighthouse etc., which again if that’s you’re thing.

Just to add, there’s also Arthur River (61kms from Smithton and 15kms from Marrawah) where you do a spot of fishing and of course cruises on the river.
