We had a blizzard today. -12C but the 50 km/h winds put the windchill down to -25C. The forecast for New Years Eve is -27C (windchill -33C). Keep me in your atheist prayers! Glad i'm not experiencing those conditions! I am a fan of the cold, but not of temperatures below freezing point.

Yesterday it was -8C (windchill -17C) and snowing. Today on New Years Eve afternoon it's -21C (windchill -30C). It's going to get colder as 2018 rings in. I've cancelled my plans and decided to watch TV in my sweatpants. Classic!

If it fails to reach 10C on any given day, I will consider that a freezing day. The last time that happend in Auckland was in the 1970s I think lol I personally think 23C-27C is the most comfortable temperatures.

I just drove out to the airport earlier and it was completely overcast, not even a little bit of sun breaking through. Think it might rain soon. High of 26C

You're so lucky. 😠I just checked, and the city with the most similar weather to mine has the mercury managing to get above 10C for 198 days of the year, but failing to do that for the other 167. www.currentresults.com/Weather/Canada/Ontario/Places/barrie-temperatures-by-month-average.phpYeah, 17C-27C is the most comfortable for me too. But that's with muggy North American humidity. I've been to dry deserts with high 30s/low 40s at night time and I really liked that too. Those numbers with sunlight though... 🙅 My atheist prayers worked and the temperature bottomed out at "only" -22C (with -28C windchill). Nevertheless, New Year 2018 was the coldest new year on record in much of Eastern North America since New Year 1900.

The forecast for Friday morning is -24C with wind gusts of 50 km/h from the Arctic pushing the windchill down to -38C.  If it turns out to be true, that will be the coldest weather I've ever experienced.
