With the way the weather has been lately, I think Autumn can't come soon enough. Tomorrow it's going to be 5C, and the day after it's going to get up all the way to 15C (!) which must some all-time record high Here in Sydney a 15°C maximum temperature is what many locals would probably call "freezing" during the middle of Winter, with 20-25°C maximum temperatures generally being the threshold considered to be "perfect" weather. The winters there sound pleasant. The summers though not so much

I'm possibly a bit of a whinger too. I just hate the heat. Anything over 22 annoys me.

I find 23C-28C is best for day time temperatures and 13C-18C is best for night time temperatures.

Too bad everything here is about 5 degrees cooler than that (except summer, I love our summers)

I'm possibly a bit of a whinger too. I just hate the heat. Anything over 22 annoys me. I’m not a huge fan of the extreme heat either. However, what really does me in is the very high humidity. I can live with 30c+ day as along as it’s a very dry heat, which is what you experience in Adelaide/SA for the most part. What you can experience in places like Queensland where the humidity is high it’s really unbearable - hot sticky humid type conditions.

For example, in 2008 between 3-17 March Adelaide recorded 15 consecutive days of 35c or above, and 13 consecutive days of 38c or above - both records for an Australian capital city. The following year from 27 January the temperature soared above 40c degrees for 6 consecutive days, until 2 February where the temperature dropped to just under 39c.
