40C+ is perfectly acceptable to complain about Even more so when they can get consecutive days of the extreme conditions. For example, in 2008 between 3-17 March Adelaide recorded 15 consecutive days of 35c or above, and 13 consecutive days of 38c or above - both records for an Australian capital city. The following year from 27 January the temperature soared above 40c degrees for 6 consecutive days, until 2 February where the temperature dropped to just under 39c. Nasty I'd stay underwater. But is it dry heat or humid?

Winter: 7C high and -5C low Spring: 15C high and 0C low Summer: 28C high and 20C low Autumn: 20C high and 5C low That would be an ideal climate for me. Too bad everything here is about 5 degrees cooler than that (except summer, I love our summers) Ideal? Everything outside Summer is way too cold! Basically I like Canada's 4 seasons, I just think we can use some catastrophic global warming and everything would be perfect.

It was so warm today, I think it got up to 14C. I actually had to take my coat off because it was too hot! This set an all-time record high, beating the 11C reached on 20 February 1994. For contrast, the all-time record low was -24C in 1993. The week following my birthday was very dark and cold indeed. ;D

I think it's safe to say that the worst of the cold weather is finally over. I've just looked at the forecast for Toronto and all of the maximum temperatures for the days ahead are above 0C.

Yes, the weather for the next week looks wonderful! Interestingly, the weather is almost exactly what I said was my ideal winter weather a few posts back. My prayers have been answered Also, never say "winter is finally over". That's what everyone says every year and then we get a crazy snow storm in May or something. It's practically jinxing it You know you live in Canada when you start finding 14C too hot 😂😂 14C is truly beach weather and that's not me trying to be funny

Over here it would be considered quite cold! But I guess, when you’re mostly in the temp range of 0c and below it would be like this.

Well it wasn't hot as in scorching, it just felt hot wearing my coat. I didn't need it. -- It's been hovering around 2C all day. Some areas around me have been experiencing flooding due to the snow melting too fast and heavy rain, but other than a tiny bit of snow in the morning my area has been dry. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kitchener-waterloo/flooding-waterloo-region-brantford-february-2018-1.4545090

It started snowing here in Seattle! We're supposed to get an inch or two. Hopefully classes are canceled tomorrow!

I'm jealous of you guys that are east of the Rocky Mountains. You actually get all 4 seasons and have way more interesting weather, especially compared to all of us out west.

In Vancouver they were "fretting" about having a winter without snow. Well, it looks like you guys got your wish. Enjoy! In general it looks like the West is getting hit by an Arctic blast while the Eastern half of the continent is warming up significantly. I saw the forecast for Saskatoon a couple of days ago and the *high* was -21C (-6F) Today it was -3C and very light snow in the morning, and now it's 0C and cloudy.

Really gross weather this morning. It's 0C with freezing rain and a dense fog. The sidewalks were very slippery. I don't envy anyone who has to drive in this weather! It's going to get up to 6C in the evening so hopefully all this ice will melt
