Let's try to keep gossip/complaints about particular users on other forums to a minimum (I'll let you guys decide how much "minimum" is). It can give this forum an unnecessarily cliquish atmosphere. Thanks for understanding

The Personality Cafe generation sub-forum is filled with people who desperately try to squeeze into Gen Y by listing some dumb reasons like "I relate more with my brother born in the early 90's than my brother born in the mid-2000's" even though they are in the minority and are clear-cut Gen Z. There are a few threads like that on that website. It's seriously gone downhill.

1. Popedia 2. Reddit 3. ign 4. inthe00s 5. newgrounds 6. personality cafe(this place is so toxic I just can't stand going there) I've never really been to quora or city data so I don't much of an opinion on them. Toxic? I honestly don't find Personality Cafe toxic at all, and I'm already past 3000 posts on that site. Outside of the generation subforums (which are empty anyway), the rest of the Personality Cafe community is actually pretty nice to be part of, and the other members are usually friendly, especially in the Entertainment Plaza and Member Polls boards.

I won't include Popedia (as it would be bias for me to do so), but here is how I would rank other forums I visit: 1. Quora (I mainly just browse Quora). 2. City-Data 3. Personality Cafe 4. Reddit 5. inthe00s 6. Media Spy (I rarely post on there, because the admins of that site treat their members poorly) 7. IGN I notice you're not the only one who ranks IGN at the bottom. I'm not on it, but I do get the feeling it's a troll haven based on what I've seen just browsing it. Game FAQ also seems to be the same way. I think Reddit just depends what subs you're on. Ask Reddit is a pretty good one and some of the band related ones I lurk on. It's too big a place to judge the whole thing by a few bad subs. Quora I only browse, but from what I see it lacks the sense of humor Redditors are known for and appears to be less fun. InThe00s I'm taking issue with lately for reasons that have nothing to do with decadeology and more of an unfriendly vibe I'm getting as of late.

I have only be on IGN once or twice before, but it didn't exactly have a friendly and inviting atmosphere to it. I've also heard of a few cases where people have been bullied by other members on IGN, so that has turned me off from wanting to go back on there. I agree in regards to Reddit. In a general sense, it's a community made up of thousands of smaller communities. It is a bit unfair to judge it as a whole, as it's so diverse. It's interesting that you should say that about inthe00s, because that's the general mindset I have at the moment as well. Honestly, I think the whole forum has become a parody of itself. There's very little in the way of proper "pop culture" discussions on the boards now. Most of the threads are decadeology-related and the ones that aren't quickly get turned into threads which mock the cultural shifts, such as the Late 2006 shift.

Okay you're right about that. I was just basing this off of the generation forums.

I have my reasons so let's leave it at that. I'm still puzzled. Why would someone log on using a long-unused account just to say you died? EDIT: Sorry for being curious, I was just worried we had a liar on our hands.

BTW, I once joined this one forum, only to find that it was in the middle of some sockpuppet drama and therefore they were really suspicious for a reason when I joined because all their new members are this one guy's sockpuppet accounts and Russian spambots.

IGN Forums is terrible. The mods there have a stick up all of their a$$*s and everyone there talks in a really weird troll like manner.
