I checked out Matt Billman's SoundCloud. He's indeed a talented vocalist!

From what I've heard so far, I love that piece! I like how up beat it is! It actually reminds me of eurobeat.

I named it after Carlsbad, a city in San Diego's northern coast and likely where I'll be living in the not too distant future, since it's my ideal environment with its excellent mixture of suburban coziness and coastal charm. I didn't want to name it after myself because my last name isn't so compatible with it, and the other nearby cities in my area don't have quite the same ring to them when I add the -beat suffix.

I don't like dance music but good luck with it anyway!

I've just finished listening to "Beyond My Heart". The production of the song is really good. It's very well polished and the vocals compliment the backing track perfectly. There's nothing to fault with it at all. Great job!

Gotta be honest, “Beyond My Heart” did not get streamed or make much money at all. Frankly though, that is to be expected, as it was literally my first production in several years after really not being so experienced. I shared it with the community at Eurobeat-Prime.com, and the general consensus was that while the lyrics were solid enough, the mixing and instrumentation left a lot to be desired, and really they’re right. In particular, they complained that the vocals were not mixed crisply, the main synth hook was too thin -sounding, and there was not enough depth to the track’s soundworld, especially in the bassier registers.

With that all said, I am pleased to say that despite the lack of takeoff for “Beyond My Heart”, I am still very optimistc about the near future of Carlsbeat. I’ve taken the critiques I got for the song in earnest and have already learned a ton from my previous mistakes and advanced my production style immensely. Right now, Gary and I have actually been extremely productive, with several songs currently in the works at once, some of which he wrote but all of which I’m producing, with his input. Among our impending releases is a small collection of remixes for “Beyond My Heart”, including a revamped version by me, another remix produced by Gary, and possibly a third version as well. We are confident that these editions of the song will be a lot more sophisticated than what I released last month, and we are extremely stoked to share them with you once they’re all ready!

Besides the “Beyond My Heart” remixes, be on the lookout soon for “Feel the Music”, “Time to Para Para”, and “Believe”!
