Now that it has been 2 weeks since this topic was made, I'm glad that people have noticed the site has declined. Not only that, I don't even see certain members that much on there anymore. It would be great to see inthe00s thrive again, but I doubt it will have another peak. I appreciate all the responses in this thread. I definitely agree that the "vibes of an era" have gotten out of control as well as those "shifts". It seems that certain users tend to overestimate changes within a year, and they only look at one aspect while overlooking others. Genuinely there's not much of an overall difference between today and 2015-16. Yeah, regarding politics, there was a huge change in the last few years where Trump is now president. Before that, it was Obama, but that's only one component and doesn't necessarily reflect the rest of pop culture. I mean one has to look at music, video games, movies, fashion, technology, events etc. all together to get a grasp on how truly a year or a period was. Regarding members of that site, I approve that some are clearly irritating to the point where they disrupt the subject and end up going off topic and they make others angry to that decide they won't come back on inthe00s anymore which has resulted in fewer members. I also agree with the BS policies. I hope one day they're overturned to where we can have signatures again without the overlap and at least post some more videos and photos. It's why certain topics can't be updated anymore or else they would be locked. As for the design, I read that it was changed back in 2011 which was 7 years ago. There haven't been any new sub-boards on that site since. This is how the home page used to look like before its current design. Inthe00s 2011 home page

Hopefully it doesn't seem as if I am comparing two years, but 2018 has essentially turned into another 2006 - the changes of both years are often exaggerated on inthe00s, especially by John Titor.
You may have had a few changes and some shows ending here and there, but there seems to be no big shift.

I know you do it and all, but you look at the culture of a year rather than just look at one piece of it. And I agree. She has. She really wants the culture to change, not realizing that it happen when she least expects it.

She really wants the culture to change, not realizing that it happen when she least expects it. Her 2018=2001 posts are the most nonsensical and are all based on the idea that nothing really big seems to be happening from January 2018 to now. And worst of all, when I disagree with her, she either addresses the same point over and over again or shuts me off by saying "TBD". It is clear that she doesn't want a constructive conversation. She just wants someone to agree with everything she says.

I understand there were some changes this year and in 2006, but I agree there wasn't a large one to where everything changed. Yeah, she does. Not only has it been annoying, but she also doesn't realize that everything she mentioned might not even be significant at all. Instead, it could be something small for all we know.

I actually enjoyed her photo sets from specific years. Now she's been posting astrological predictions and smells associated with years of the 2000s. It's a bit too much. Does anyone know anything about her and is she just a troll or just some kid who gets too worked up over this stuff? I also see there is some guy named Frodomar people aren't fond of lately.

Forum activity always dips in the summer. You can look at the forum stats for proof. And it's not just inthe00s that's like this, it's the entire Internet. If forum activity is still low in the fall then maybe I'll start to panic

Please be mindful that the members mentioned in this thread may read the posts which have been made. The two members in question do have accounts on Popedia, so that's something to keep in mind. Frodomar was an ageist and an "age separatist". He had this idea that 2002 borns are extremely different and should be separated from 2003 borns, and I actually remember his generation and cusp definitions. He never really explains them other than the fact that he was born in 2002.

Does anyone know anything about her and is she just a troll or just some kid who gets too worked up over this stuff? Me too! It would be great for her to do that again, but because of the BS photo policy of only allowing 2 or 3 images, she might not be able to do it anymore. What we know is that she's definitely obsessed with the 00s especially the early portion. She always talks about what occurred in that period whether its music, video games, films etc. It's why she's hoping that a 00s revival will happen soon even though the chances are slim right now. If forum activity is still low in the fall then maybe I'll start to panic You think so? Wouldn't Summer usually be the season where people have a lot of time off? Frodomar was an ageist and an "age separatist". He had this idea that 2002 borns are extremely different and should be separated from 2003 borns, and I actually remember his generation and cusp definitions. It seems he was trying too hard to not be part of a certain group.

It seems he was trying too hard to not be part of a certain group. Nope, Mozilla uncovered the pattern. Global internet usage dips in early May (because many countries have holidays around then) and again in July/August. I read somewhere else that it dips around Christmas/New Years as well. People spend holidays with their friends/family rather than on a computer. blog.mozilla.org/metrics/2008/05/13/fluctuations-in-international-internet-usage/

Now that it's been a month, do you all think the site has gotten better since the update on this topic or do you think its still getting worse? Didn't that user get banned for trolling others as well as putting people down? It seems he was trying too hard to not be part of a certain group. Frodomar hasn't been banned. I think you might be thinking of cooldudez. Sorry for the late response, I've been busy for the past month and just logged back on. No, I meant that didn't he get banned from the inthe00s for trolling?
