This is a pretty random question, but what is your overall opinion of Nu-Metal? For instance, what do you think of bands such as Korn, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park?

If I'm honest it's not a genre I've explored much beneath the surface. In general I prefer older and/or more rock influenced metal. Upfront, to quote Bowling for Soup (loll) I am "not a big Limp Bizkit fan". There were a few Korn songs I liked growing up, like "Word Up!", mostly because it's so unusual, but I can't say it's a band I listen to. Same with Linkin Park pretty much, more that my brother overplayed. There's a growing nostalgia factor though, "In the End" is so early 00's with its breed of angst. But I'd say overall I have no strong feelings or associations, it's just never been high on my radar.

What music genres do you usually listen to? I like a lot of 70's and 80's rock, I probably listen to more Bruce Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac than anything else. But I'm not gonna lie, I love cheesy pop from any era. 80's and 00's are just fun. I also listen to country, though not usually what's on the radio. More southern or soft rock leaning stuff along with some classics.

Is Acadian cuisine popular where you live? Uhh...never heard of it? What kind of dishes are you thinking of? Ploye, Chicken Fricot, Meat Pie, Beignets, Molasses Cake. I know that the Acadian people (the precursors to the Cajuns) settled around the New England area, so was just wondering if these dishes are common up there.

Yeah I guess I would just call it "French Canadian". It's not something you'd ever find at a restaurant really rather than in someone's home, maybe around the holidays. The most prominent dish by far is pork pie. The pork and spices are pureed and baked in a double pie crust. For dessert I am familiar with sugar pie, which is like pecan pie without nuts. Poutine is quite popular here. Otherwise classic coastal food is largely based around what's available. These no-frills types of seafood restaurants are common, where you may eat at picnic tables and get served whole boiled lobster with corn on the cob or fries. Fish usually comes fried, broiled or baked stuffed. Of course you can start with a cup of chowder. Blueberry and whoopie pies are popular desserts, though apple pie/crisp may be more common. Many people underestimate the prominence of corn bread. Baked beans used to be a big deal but are falling out of favor but the old factory in Portland is still operational and they still sell their famous canned molasses bread.

Ha yeah I like listening to some of the particularly upbeat stuff when working out or trying to get stuff done. And sometimes I'll watch videos for their campy fun.

The most "over the sea" I have gone is to Bermuda lol. Lately I've been interested in Ireland, Iceland and Scandinavia, but as it gets colder my interests will probably turn away from places further north than I already am.

Haha, at least you have traveled to another country before. I have technically traveled overseas as well, but it was only to go to Tasmania (which is a state of Australia). I like your choices of Ireland, Iceland and Scandinavia. They are countries I would like to go to as well. What did you think of Bermuda?
