www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/1701There is a Discord widget plug-in available on Proboards and since we already have the Popedia chat, I thought it might be worth installing this plug-in on the forum. To anyone who is already in the Popedia server, can someone please share to me (either publicly or as a PM) what the channel ID is? Thanks.

If you're in it you should be able to find the ID.

If you're in it you should be able to find the ID. Yep.  I'm actually not in it, to be honest. It's a server that mwalker96 created and there are a few members on Popedia who are apart of the Discord.

The Popedia chat is not a server, it's actually a private chat/messages I think. We'll probably have to start a new one (and considering the things that were said in that chat, it's probably for the best  )

Because the "Popedia chat" has always been spoken about so openly, I had assumed that it was a public server. If that's the case, don't worry about the plug-in. It wouldn't be worth starting a new private chat room on Discord. Honestly, I think it's bad that a new Popedia private chat would have to be created in such a scenario. That suggests to me that bad things have been said about people without their knowledge...

I agree that a private group chat likely wouldn't work with the plug-in, but I guess we could give it a shot and see if it does work or not.

I agree that a private group chat likely wouldn't work with the plug-in, but I guess we could give it a shot and see if it does work or not. I just checked it and mwalker96 left the chat, and he was the admin of that chat. I don't think a private chat would work since the admin invites people in/out, instead of giving out a URL to the chat (therefore I have no ability to invite people there). I'm not sure how the plug-in would relay the chat onto here.

Some of y'all should post on discord if you haven't for a while and want to stay on. It's a little creepy to not know who's been reading so we may remove those who do not appear to be participating.
