Starting from next year, the Logie Awards will be hosted on the Gold Coast. What are your thoughts on this? Personally I think it should remain in Melbourne.

Melbourne was always the home for the Logies. The thought of it now being hosted at the Gold Coast just seems tacky.

Pity it didn't go to Adelaide as payback for the Grand Prix.

Pity it didn't go to Adelaide as payback for the Grand Prix. The Government must have erased that from their memory.

TVs night of nights is here.
Gonna record it and start watching from about 8.30. Fast forward the ads and the boring bits.
Tracy Grimshaw will win gold. Not that I'm a fan of her.
My fave moments every year are the Hall of Fame and In Memorium.
Logies in July seems weird.

I'm glad Tracy Grimshaw didn't win the Gold Logie, as many people had predicted. I've never particularly liked her. I personally would have preferred it if Amanda Keller had won, but Grant Denyer was another good nominee for the award and he deserved to receive it.

I also would've preferred to see Amanda Keller win, but I guess Grant Denyer is an OK-ish choice for the Gold Logie. The (presumably satirical) campaign by comedian Tom Gleeson probably paid off?
Overall though, I found this year's Logies to be severely lacking in entertainment! Ratings weren't great either.

Tony Martin was good.
Had a chuckle on one of the lead outs to the advert when he mentioned the hall of fame and alluded to it possibly being 'hotdogs'

I'm all for an increase in entertainment, but as long as it's not in the form of Julia Morris "performing" for most of the evening. Her stage performance last night was awful. Tony Martin was good. Had a chuckle on one of the lead outs to the advert when he mentioned the hall of fame and alluded to it possibly being 'hotdogs' Yeah, I didn't mind his voiceovers either actually.
