I’m not sure if there’s a specific thread for this (couldn’t see one already created). So, to the topic at hand. What movies do you remember watching at school for various reasons (whether having to do works on, due to bad weather, last day of the school year and the like). I will list others I remember at a later date, but one I will always remember for some reason is watching “Matilda”, when I was in Grade 4. What about you?

I remember my school having a huge VHS setup in case of rainy days but weirdly enough I can't recall most of the movies shown (At best I can remember watching "An American Tail", that boring "Winnie The Pooh" long-length feature, as well as seeing a "Aladdin" jacket there somewhere).
Though I do remember that we have watched the movie "Mathilda" at least twice in class.

We very rarely watched movies at our primary school, for some reason. The only time we ever really did was on the last few days of school or during our annual "Big Day Out" event. Instead, we mostly just watched episodes of TV shows, such as "The Magic School Bus" and "Behind The News". Most of the classrooms in my primary school had small analogue TVs in them (at least up until 2008, when interactive whiteboards were introduced), but most of the time we either went into the school hall (which had a projector) or a small "theatre" room at the end of a classroom block (which had a small analogue TV and a "fat" Playstation 2 that was only used once a year). A lot of classes would use the theatre room to watch things, because it had a huge set of stairs that stretched the entire width of the room, so there was plenty of room for a class of 25-30 kids to sit down. Movies I can remember watching at primary school include: * Spy Kids * Snow White * Babe * Matilda * Scooby Doo Some of the movies I watched at High School include: * The Castle (my HSIE teacher randomly decided to put the movie on during a lesson in Year 10 ) * Gallipoli * Disturbia * Romeo & Juliet * Gnomeo & Juliet (a kids movie that we had to study as part of our Shakespeare unit of work in Year 9) * Nick of Time * Mamma Mia ( ) * Dances With Wolves

I only ever saw one film at school, a boring one on diamond mining in South Africa as a supposed Christmas treat.

Most of these were for literature ... - Mary Poppins - Chocolat - Romeo and Juliet - Black Beauty - Yours, Mine, Ours - Dante's Peak (but we only got to see part of it, we stopped right at the most interesting part ) - Mom at 16 (that was for sex ed )
I took film and story as a module later on so we watched a lot of movies I can't remember them all but here are some ... - Wreck-it Ralph - The Breakfast Club
