There was some interest shown not too long ago about a possible update to a new logo. Based off the results, most people seem to be supportive of the idea and as a result, it has been decided that Popedia will update to a new logo for the new year. Now you can have a say on what our new logo should be!  We're holding a forum contest where everyone can make/share their own designs for a new logo! The new logo can look like anything; there are no requirements on what it should look like. Let your imagination run wild and show off your creativity!  The person who comes up with the best design will be the winner of the contest and if agreed upon by the Popedia Staff, it will become the new logo of Popedia.
Here are the guidelines for the contest: * The competition will end on the 21st December 2018. * The winner will be announced on the 31st December and if all goes to plan, the new logo will come into effect on the 1st January 2019.* To add on from that, the winner of the contest will also receive a badge on their profile and a custom-title for their mini-profile.Best of luck everyone and happy designing!

RockyMountainExtreme I just thought I would tag you in this thread, because I remember you mentioning in the Future Staff Members thread that you would be interested in doing design work on the forum and I thought this might be something that you might be interested in. You can use it in any color That logo is actually being used (temporarily) at the moment for some of the Christmas-themed layouts on the forum.  I decided to use that logo over the existing one, because the existing one didn't compliment the Christmas look/feel of the themes and it's going to be replaced anyway. Although, just because it's being used for some of the themes at the moment, doesn't mean that it will become the permanent new logo of Popedia.

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind seeing what RockyMountainExtreme could do here. He’s hinted previously that he has some interests in this area so here’s a chance for him (and that goes for anyone else on Popedia willing to have a go for that matter ) to see what they can come up with!
I would have a go but I’ve never been overly strong in this area so I’ll leave it up to ones who are more capable.
So let’s get creative people!

I actually have a cool idea for the site but it would be annoying to upkeep Every section of the popedia site has a different theme, The 90s has a 90s looks, The 2000s has a 2000s look, The 2010s section has a flat design, and everything else has a uniform design

I'll look into it.

The white background in the current logo ruins it. It should be removed IMO.

Well it's disappointing that no one participated. Honestly, I don't think we should even continue with forum contests, because no one ever responds to them...even though there's 25-30 members who log on each day. Go figure.

Go figure. how many of us have any shred of artistic skill especially when it comes to logo design, and also the confidence to actually put it out there as a submission lol
