I wasn't even aware of that channel's existence, tbh. A shame that they've had to discontinue uploading to YouTube. I've decided to as well, this will be the last month I will upload new content onto my South Coast TV channel. Not exactly sure what i'm going to do with my other channels as of yet.

A few weeks ago, i've made a decision to post on YouTube again as archive.org is such a pain to upload on my end.

What issues have you been having with it? At times a small video file would take take 1 hour to upload, and would take a whole day to just to process the video...when I upload onto YouTube the same video I attempt to post would only take a minute.

I feel like the user interface is very old fashioned too, but I guess it's hard to compare it to YouTube. I don't think you can upload more than one video at once, which is kind of a bummer since I wanted to upload all my videos there.

It's interesting that you've had those issues with uploading, because I haven't encountered anything like that before when I've uploaded onto Archive.Org. I guess it might just depend on the day and the strength of the internet connection maybe? Probably my biggest issue with Archive.Org. is the fact that you can't upload multiple videos at once. It's a real pain having to upload every video individually.

I've decided that i'm not going to upload onto Archive.Org anymore. It's simply too tedious to upload individual videos onto for starters and tbh, i'm starting to wonder if there's any benefit in doing so. People can still download your videos and re-upload them without your permission; Aaron has done that to several of my videos. I think going forward, I want to upload them all onto a site where I have total control as to who has access to them. I've been doing a bit of research about a number of different video hosting sites and while many of them offer great features, they all require you to pay a monthly fee. Some of them are ridiculously expensive too. For instance, Vimeo has a maximum 5GB weekly upload limit and it's $9 a month; it's just not going to be feasible with re-uploading 2,000+ videos. So I've been trying to think of possible alternatives and this is an idea which I think could possibly work: Popedia+Basically, what it would be is a sub-forum on Popedia which would re-direct to videos we upload onto our own Google Photos albums/pages. The reasons as to why Google Photos is a good choice for us to upload our recorded TV content onto is because: * It's free to use. * Free, unlimited storage. * They would be uploaded onto Google, which means that you wouldn't have to ever worry about copyright infringement or them being taken down. * Everyone who has a Google (gmail, YouTube etc.) account already has a Google Photos one. * You can upload videos up to 10GB in size and in 1080p. To put it into perspective, my full-length (23 mins) WIN News bulletins videos are in 360p and are only 183MB. * Photos and videos are private by default, however you can choose to share the links to albums and also embed photos/videos on Facebook and Twitter. * Only members on Popedia would have access to the videos (depending on if you choose to embed them on social media). Not only would it encourage more people to join our forum, but trolls and troublemakers such as Aaron wouldn't be able to access/download them. We could sort our uploads into categories. For instance, entering the Popedia+ sub-forum would have sub-boards based on/named after our YouTube channels and in each sub-board would be threads directing to our videos on Google Photos. I'm planning on creating a trial version based on this sometime tomorrow, just to see if the idea would work out. What does everyone else think?

I'm glad to hear it. It will probably be a bit of trial and error to get it right, but we won't know until we give it a go! I think it should work.

Saw that this guy (the same one who spams my channel with 'Which country?') has uploaded some of my videos with my watermark on them, looks like that can't even stop them!

How is everyone else faring in terms of copyright infringements?
I've currently got a copyright strike from Nine for a Gladys Berejiklian press conference I uploaded at the end of October. They removed the video, although I didn't receive any copyright infringements/strikes for any of my other Nine News uploads interestingly enough. I'm not sure why they had an issue with that particular press conference being uploaded and not with any of their news bulletins being on my channel, but anyhow. I have yet to receive a single copyright infringement or strike from Seven in all the years I have been uploading videos onto my channel (* touch wood *). The FTA networks definitely aren't consistent in regards to what they do and don't have an issue with!

How is everyone else faring in terms of copyright infringements? So far *knocks on wood*...my channel has been fine as I'm mainly focusing on 'older' clips.

I'm not uploading any new content anymore unless its something significant (like a farewell, but those videos seem to always get copyrighted/warning notice anyway cause of its music content!)
