More often than not we tend to focus on our predictions of pop culture for the years ahead, however I thought it would be interesting if we had a topic where we discuss what we hope to achieve in our personal lives over the next few years. What do you personally hope to achieve during the 2020s?
My main focus for the next few years is to try and move out into a place of my own, as well as completing my Cert III in Horticulture and securing a job at council. My horticulture course at TAFE goes for a duration of two years, so by 2021, hopefully I will be able to secure a job that I will actually enjoy doing.
As for the rest of the decade, who knows what the future might hold. It actually wouldn't surprise me if I moved down to Tasmania sometime in the next 5-10 years. My Mum and her fiance' want to move down there, as does my Dad and my Grandad. I would love to move down there as well. I think it would be great if it were to happen one day.

My to-do list for 2019 is large enough I don't have any decade goals, but if every year goes like 2018, then the 2020s will be unforgettable. I'm really excited!

Normally I wouldn't have decade goals either, but with being in the stage of life that I am in, I do have a few plans for the years ahead.

Figure out something to do with my life and towards the end start a family.
It's weird to think about my potential kids being "twenties" or "thirties" kids and what kind of culture they will have.

It's a bit silly to think already what you want to achieve in the next 10 years since it's quite a decent amount of years and things can change a lot in the meantime But yeah, my main goal is to graduate for my dream job and find a partner which who I will build a family towards the end of that decade since I will be in my thirties by then ( !)

I have enough problems dealing with the present to bother about the future. Hopefully, I won't be here as I don't want to get old.

Hopefully, I won't be here as I don't want to get old. Don't think like that! You're only as young as you feel. Age is just a number and nothing more.

I dread ageing, Shark, I've seen the effects.
But I suppose growing old is an improvement on dying young. My 34 year old niece died on Wednesday.

Haha, its nice to see that a new sub section was added while I was gone. By the end of the 20's I hope to at least have a stable job and maybe be starting a family.

Yeah, since we're less than 12 months away until the start of the 2020s, I thought it would be a good idea to create a new sub-section for the decade in advance.

Raise a family. I'm expecting my first literally any day now, and that's going to change my life forever. I also hope to finally figure out what my dream job is. I hate my profession so much.
Make enough money to be financially stable enough to escape the United States. Moving to a new country is hard enough and I'm not even sure I have the stones to do it, but current events may give me no choice.

And it's coming soon. I mean, we're only two weeks from our due date, it really is any day now.
