Hi everyone, I just thought I would update you all on the teething issues which have been affecting the "Default / Homepage" theme since it was launched. * There doesn't appear to be any solution to the avatar sizing issues, unfortunately. A Proboards Staff member did send me a bit of coding to correct the avatar sizing issues in the mini-profiles and while that has helped to an extent, it has resulted in threads not correctly scrolling down to the most recent post made in that thread. Instead, the page scrolls down to the "create a new post" section of the page, meaning that you have to manually use the scroll bar to go back to the most recent post. This is a massive hindrance and it makes the forum seem amateurish. I unfortunately can't even get in contact with the developer of the theme, because the Proboards member who created the theme hasn't logged in to their account in several months. * For whatever reason, the "Different Banners" plug-in does not work on the "Default" theme at all. There doesn't appear to be any issues with the plug-in settings (the permissions of the plug-in are also correct) and I have also played around with the avatar dimensions and coding for the theme to try to get it to work, yet it doesn't seem to change anything. I'm really not sure what can be done about this. The plug-in works on every other theme on Popedia. I'm really sorry about all this. Before I had decided to switch the forum homepage to this layout/template, I didn't realise that there were going to be issues with the avatar dimensions. It's disappointing that there doesn't seem to be any way to fix the small teething issues on what is otherwise an excellent theme. Another reason for me creating this thread is that I thought it would be a good opportunity for people to provide feedback on the theme if they wish to. With the teething issues that remain unresolved, I wasn't sure if everyone was still content with this theme remaining as the default homepage of the forum? Do you like the "Default" theme? Is there anything else which you think should be changed? All feedback is welcome! Thanks.

If you'd like, I can send you over the coding that I used for the avatar dimensions, although i'm not sure if anything can be done to fix the plug-in.

What programming language is the plug-in in? I'm guessing it's PHP; if so I might be able to look into it.

The plug-in is a PBP file, but I have no way of accessing the coding that is used for the plug-in itself. I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with the actual plug-in; I think there's just a bit of coding in the "Default" forum theme that is preventing it from working properly.

Oh, can you not open it up on in notepad or another text editor? It's strange that they won't let you see the code. It would be difficult to assess why the theme is faulty if I can't see what the plugin is trying to do to the page exactly.

I tried opening the file in Notepad just then, but the text is in Mandarin or Japanese.

I read online that you're supposed to use a "Proboards plugin editor" to able to read/edit a plugin's code. Does that show anything?

The "Proboards Plugin Editor" is a widget for developers to build/edit their own plug-ins. There isn't an option to read the coding of plug-ins made by other developers/members, at least not that I am aware of.
