In terms of movie releases, what would be your favourite year for movies?
I personally don't have one, in all honesty. I suppose 2008 wasn't too bad, considering that "Iron Man" and "The Dark Night" were released that year. It was also the year "WALL-E" was released and I liked it at the time as well.

Movies from 1999 would be one of best years IMO as there were so many fantastic titles. There’s something for everyone. 🙂 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2001 were some great years for films too.

Imo I dont think 1999 has very good movies, same goes for 2000. In fact, I think the 2000s as a whole were much better then the 90s for movies. I would have to say 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007 are probably my favourite years for movies, at least In the 00's. Especially 2004, so many good movies released that year , being a complete contrast to the music . Dont really know as much about the 2010s in terms of movies, a lot of them seem to be quite similar.

I know i'm bias, but I agree that 1999 was a good year for movies. "The Green Mile" would have to be my favourite movie released that year. "Toy Story 2" and "Stuart Little" were good too. 2000 and 2001 had a few good movies as well, although I personally don't think they were as good. That's just my opinion though. longaotian I tend to agree. To be honest, whenever I think of the 2010s in regards to movies, I can only really think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nothing else really stands out.

My least favourite years for movies in the 00's would have to be 2000 & 2009. Maybe because those years had movies that were more like 90s and 10s respectively but they weren't very good. 2008 was pretty average and for some reason a lot of people seem to think 2006 was quite a bad year for movies. I don't know where they get this idea from becasue I think 2006 has a lot of good movies and probably have some of the most memorable movies from my childhood.

Wow, really? I think the late 90’s in particular followed by the early mid 2000s were quite strong for movie releases. Each to their own I guess. The 2010s have been quite poor in comparison. Take out the Marvel franchise and a few others and that’s about it that takes my interest. You know originality in Hollywood is well and truly gone with the rubbish they mostly churn out these days. 😉 I know i'm bias, but I agree that 1999 was a good year for movies. Yes, not to mention The Matrix movies, Star Wars, The Mummy, Austin Powers, Fight Club along with the ones you’ve mentioned and many more. Or should that be SharksFan99 instead? 😜 I’m kinda surprised that longaotian is of the opinion there weren’t many good films in 1999 (or the 90s).

I personally think that the '90s were one of the greatest decades for film. There were so many great movies released during that period of time, such as The Shawshank Redemption, The Lion King, Forrest Gump and Toy Story. Haha, SharksFan99 is my alter-ego.

I mainly use the "SharksFan99" username on other websites/forums (which aren't related to the media), so I decided to use it on here as well.

Yep. I like Shrek and the Spider-Man Tobey Maguire series as well. I generally have a bit of a soft spot for the 2000's, because quite a few of the movies I watched/liked when I was younger were released during the decade. One of my favourite childhood movies, "Elf", was released in 2003. I still don't mind watching it when it airs on Channel Nine each Christmas, to be honest.
