What are your Top-10 favourite songs from each year of the '70s?
1970:
1. "Instant Karma!" - John Lennon
2. "My Sweet Lord" - George Harrison
3. "Paranoid" - Black Sabbath
4. "Montego Bay" - Bobby Bloom
5. "Mississippi Queen" - Mountain
6. "Let It Be" - The Beatles
7. "War" - Edwin Starr
8. "Lola" - The Kinks
1971:
1. "Imagine" - John Lennon
2. "Iron Man" - Black Sabbath
3. "Eagle Rock" - Daddy Cool
4. "American Pie" - Don McLean
5. "Stairway to Heaven" - Led Zepplin
6. "It Don't Come Easy" - Ring Starr
7. "Tiny Dancer" - Elton John
1972:
1. "Changes" - David Bowie
2. "Schools Out" - Alice Cooper
There's honestly very little from 1972 that I actually like. IMO, it was quite easily the weakest year for music in the '70s.
1973:
1. "Dream On" - Aerosmith
2. "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" - Elton John
3. "Life on Mars?" - David Bowie
4. "Stuck in the Middle With You" - Stealers Wheel
5. "Smoke On The Water" - Deep Purple (I only like it's legendary guitar riff, in all honesty. The song itself is a bit average).
1974:
1. "Hide in Your Shell" - Supertramp
2. "Evie" - Stevie Wright
3. "Jet" - Paul McCartney & Wings
4. "Rebel Rebel" - David Bowie
5. "Killer Queen" - Queen
6. "Seasons in the Sun" - Terry Jacks (I honestly don't understand the hatred of this song)
7. "Dreamer" - Supertramp
8. "Waterloo" - ABBA
9. "Kung Fu Fighting" - Carl Douglas (It may be corny, but I actually like it. ).
10. "Band on the Run" - Paul McCartney & Wings
Wow! To be honest, I never realised that I liked this amount of songs from 1974. It comes as a bit of a surprise to me, because I personally think the second-half of the '70s was the better era for music and I was fully expecting to only have 4-5 songs listed for this year. I genuinely like all of the songs listed above.

2. "Born To Run" - Bruce Springsteen
3. "Bohemian Rhapsody" - Queen (Unfortunately, the recent biopic has turned me off this song a little bit).

3. "Bohemian Rhapsody" - Queen
