Do you think that it's currently still purely 2010s or are there some very early 2020s influences left and is it Early Gen Z youth culture, Y/Z cusp, or Core Gen Z?

The core 2010s are coming to an end but we still don't know what 2020s culture will be like.

Yeah, I think that's how to best sum it up really.

I felt like the core 2010s ended sometime in 2017.

We're at a place where I'm watching pretty closely for what we're moving into. I've got some possibilities in mind for what may continue and define next decade's trends, but obviously one can't predict that with certainty. So while I'm sure we're already experiencing much of what will seem 2020's, we won't really be able to pinpoint what exactly that it until at least 2021. At the very least, I'd say we're at least in the midst of the first half of Gen Z culture.

No it is not core 10s. I felt like the core 2010s culture ended in 2016-2017. After that it didnt felt like 2010s to me. 2019 is more in common with 2017, than the years that come before it. You just see a difference in culture from 2016 and so on.

I disagree. I feel like 2019 is very similar culture wise to 2015 (the new president Trump not withstanding). Music, gaming, and cartoons still seem very 2010s to me.

Right now, it has become oppressively conservative, religious, and hateful. If you aren't a white straight conservative Christian you are a deviant animal who needs to just shut up and stop being a "snowflake." This is my least favorite era of my entire life.

Um, why do you need to push your political opinions down my throat? Politics are obviously different from 2015.

2019 is definitely not core 2010’s anymore and anyone who thinks it is probably wasn’t paying attention to pop culture during the actual core 2010’s.
