I didn’t know there was a discussion about this on here. Some people I know are actually part of the search for this and I have been somewhat interested in this for the past year and a half after they told about me about it. The most convincing theory is that it was recorded by the lead singer of the Greek New Wave band Statues in Motion. One member from it (Billy Knight) said that the lead singer of that band was indeed the one singing in this song, but not everyone believes Billy Knight because he has attention-seeking tendencies.Yeah, as many others have rightly said though, what exactly does he really gain from lying about it? He was at first even hesitant to even want to acknowledge it according to people who has had contact with him. No-one really gets it. If you have heard what he has said about the events surrounding it a lot of it just makes too much sense with other things discovered. I would even be a bit surprised if it turned out he was just making this whole story up for little to no gain. Too bad George (the lead singer of the band) is missing presumed dead. ^I'm fairly sure I've read that they asked several members of that band and they denied it. So it's pretty much debunked at this point. The mystery of the song therefore lives on... From what I was told Knight was the only one originally asked. The story goes, that someone messaged him with a link to the song and without a second thought of listening to it he just denied about knowing it. The band only consisted of a few members and a couple of them died years ago with Knight and possibly the singer the only ones still alive. The whole situation regarding them is a complete mess from what others had previously told me. Here is an interview with Billy that Cameron did last month:
