We're looking for a sixth moderator

The Popedia Staff have determined that appointing a sixth moderator (to fill the role that Paul once had) is in the best interests of our forum and we are now taking expressions of interest for the role. Not only would it ensure that incidents are handled in a more timely manner, but it would also take pressure off Slowpoke and #Infinity to oversee the US afternoon/evening period.
As i'm sure you are aware, Popedia has experienced a string of incidents (mostly political related) over the past two weeks or so. These incidents have typically occurred during the US afternoon period, which is generally one of the most active times of the day on Popedia and also one of the least supervised. As it stands currently, we have four staff members (including myself) who are based in the Australian Eastern time zone and only two staff members based elsewhere. These incidents have proven that the current set-up is flawed and changes need to be made.
This is what we are looking for in a moderator:
* Someone who does not have a history of provoking others or causing trouble.
* A member who is active and participates in the community regularly.
* Someone who can handle conflict situations which may arise and follow the Popedia Rules & Guidelines.
* A member who can be relied upon and visit the forum even when activity levels are low.
Preferably we are looking to appoint someone who is based outside of the Australian time zones, but we are open to anyone becoming a moderator as long as they meet the requirements above. We haven't come to a consensus on who we would like to see appointed to the role, so if you're interested, please don't hesitate to put your name forward!
