I decided to listen to Mezmerize in full for the first time in years just a few days ago and I had forgotten how solid the album really is. Every track is excellent. One track that I particularly like is "Violent Pornography" (which I've shared above). IMO, Mezmerize is just as good as Toxicity.

This song was played during a "2004 flashback" segment on one of my local radio stations a couple of days ago. It's funny, I can remember hearing this song on the radio and on TV quite a few times when I was a kid, but I never had the faintest idea as to what the song was called, who it was by or when it was even released. The song was always "just there" without me ever really knowing too much about it. I was surprised to find out that it was only released back in 2004. To be honest, I would have guessed that it was released sometime around 2000/01.

Might not be my favorite but this decade of music will always hold a dear spot in my heart. I feel the exact same way. They will always be my childhood decade and the music from the second-half of the decade in particular is something that I have a huge amount of nostalgia for.

Completely forgot about this cheesy emo ballad from 2008. Listening to this, I can completely understand why I didn't care for emo music (bar one or two songs) back then.

This gives me nostalgia for 2008 as well, but I've honestly never been a fan of it. It's like a poor man's version of "Hey There Delilah", lol.

Just looking at the last ARIA entry chart for 2008, here's another one-hit wonder from back then which I had completely forgot about. I remember this was pretty popular around the turn of 2009. Overall, it's alright; not the greatest rock song from 2008, but it's not terrible.

I don't like 2000s music. Some years ago, I attempted to listen to a British Top 20 countdown show just to evaluate whether the music really was that bad. I never got to the end, in fact I never got past chart position #16, I was so bored.
