Ok, I've decided to disable the text channel, because really, what's the point in keeping it open if no conversations are had there? I see the exact same people logging on each day, but they never post anything. I mean, why stay on a Discord chat for hours on end if you're not even talking with others?
So, unless there's actually interest in keeping this going, i'm going to be disabling it for an indefinite period of time.

Wait, aren't the Christmas holidays almost over? And therefore less IRL activities for the members here to be preoccupied with?

Seeing as though we are now three days into the new year, I thought activity levels would have returned back to normal by now.

I don't quite see why you would close off the text channel... "no one talks here so perhaps I should make it so no one could if they wanted to".
This is a small community, with people who have busy lives. I know it may get annoying when ambition (that of a "successful" discord) fails to meet reality, but to completely abandon that idea is not advised
Let people speak there if they wish to, people come and go all the time, people must be compelled to stay. No use in simply giving up on that server especially when it takes nothing to maintain.

The Popedia channel was actually pretty active compared to most servers I've been on  Hopefully it can recover to its original activity after the shutdown.
