How about Facebook? When did they peak? Either 2010 or 2011, IMO.

al this is an excellent thread and I will give some peaks for various things Years where that product could not go higher. Myspace - 2006 Orginal Xbox - 2004 Playstation 2 - 2004 The Simpsons - 1997 Super Nintendo - 1995 Sega Genesis - 1994 WWF - 2001 Teen Pop - 2001 Lady Gaga - 2011 Nu metal - 2002 Vh1 - 2006 Mountain Dew - 2006 Red Bull - 2006 Fast & The Furious franchise - 2017 Batman - 2012 Spiderman - 2007Marvel Cinematic Universe - 2019 Breaking Bad - 2012 Game of Thrones - 2015 Sonic the Hedgehog - 1994 Power Rangers - 1995 Cartoon Network - 2001, 2005 Nickelodeon - 1996, 2005, 2010 Animal Planet - 2006 Fox Kids - 2001 The WB Network - 2005 Nintendo Entertainment System - 1990 Blockbuster Video - 2005 Aol Aim - 2006 Dial Up - 2003 Pokemon - 2001,2016 Ringtones - 2008 I'm going to make an argument we've actually entered a new golden age of Spiderman starting 2017, with the release of Spiderman: Homecoming. And we're still in it, and, with the sequels to Spider-Verse on the horizon, will likely be in it for a couple more years. That said, I'd say the true peak for Spiderman in this new golden age is actually 2018, for two reasons: Into the Spider-Verse, and the PS4 game. Both of these were EVERYWHERE on the internet back in 2018. I'm an animation fan so of course that influences the former, but it doesn't change the fact that both were HUGE. FFS Spiderverse even won the Oscar for best Animated Feature that year (and absolutely deserved it IMO).

Maybe it's just me but I feel peak Facebook was 2012. I remember back then everybody was using Facebook, people played Facebook games, and it was cool among young people.

Lol no It was already becoming boomer garbage by then, and the young people were leaving Peak Facebook would be 2009-2010 2009 would be too early, since whilst Facebook did become the dominant social media platform that year, MySpace was still popular. IMO I feel any year between 2010 and 2012 would work. 2013 it was still popular among young people but platforms like Instagram and Vine were gaining popularity. 2014, no way.

Random tidbit, but I actually feel as though Tik Tok is currently entering into it's "late majority" phase. I mean, with a-listers and the general public having joined the site, it's arguable that Tik Tok is now more popular than ever, however the site has definitely lost it's teenage niche. It has become Facebook-ified. People in their 30s and 40s are now uploading videos onto Tik Tok. Lots of Gen Xers (i.e. both of my parents) are now into TikTok. It's definitely lost its initial cool factor like it had 2018-2020.

Nintendo Wii - 2009 Minecraft - 2012 PewDiePie - 2013 EDM - 2013 For me, I'd say Wii - 2008 Minecraft - 2013 PewDiePie - 2014 And I can't say about EDM because it's not one genre, it's a collection of different genres, similar to rock or rap. For individual subgenres I'd say Eurodance - 1994 Big Beat - 1997 Dubstep - 2011 Big Room - 2013 EDM Trap - 2014 Tropical House - 2015 and Future Bass - 2018
