You may be familiar with this type of background: This background is supposed to capture 80s aesthetic but where does it actually come from? I don't see music videos or movies from the 80s that don't use this type of aesthetic.

I'm not sure of it's origin, but it looks like an '80s retro design envisioned for something like Vaporwave.

Theres also a lot of commercials that used the synthwave background in the 80s.

Ah okay, interesting find. It's a good design, although I do believe there are better examples out there of '80s aesthetics.

You'll find examples of these in Tron, Max Headroom, Star Wars movies, Pacman, and other 80s video games, as well as commercials and MTV bumpers, as you watch an 80s vaporwave commercial compilation.

Also synthwave is just reimagining of 80s synth music with much more advanced and polished 2010s EDM techniques.
