I'm not really a movie buff, so i'm very selective when it comes to movies. In all honesty, I only like a handful of movie series and films.
* The Avengers films * Bad Grandpa * Iron Man series * National Lampoon's European Vacation
Honourable mentions:
* Hacksaw Ridge * RV (which features the late great Robin Williams)
There are more films which I like, but I wouldn't consider them to be my "favourites". I haven't included any of the movies that I liked during my childhood (apart from RV and the first Iron Man film).

I'm quite a film buff myself as I have a massive movie collection but here is my selection of my favourite movies: * Back To The Future films * The Shawshank Redemption * Die Hard films (except the 5th film) * Hackshaw Ridge * Forrest Gump * Apollo 13 I have more favourites, but the list would probably break the internet!

Forrest Gump is a great movie! I've only watched it once, but I thought it was really good. I like The Shawshank Redemption and Hacksaw Ridge as well.

It's strange that many critics have reviewed RV really negatively. I personally think it's a great film! I wouldn't say that I love it, but it's definitely a film I really enjoy watching.

I'm gonna be way in the minority but my fave movies tend to be low budget Australian movies.
Sure some big ones like The Castle, Muriels Wedding but a personal fave is The Big Steal (1990 with Ben Mendelsohn, Claudia Karvan, Steve Bisley).
They're all from the 90s but I have a huge collection of Aussie movies from the 70s and 80s on DVD too. The Club is another fave.

I don't think I have ever watched The Big Steal or The Club before. I have watched The Castle and Muriels Weddings before, although i'm not a fan of the latter.

I used to be a pretty hardcore fan of the "Back to the Future" franchise, and rewatched it pretty religiously as a kid alongside the "Indiana Jones" movies. I even went to the premiere of "Indiana Jones 4" back when it came out. I'm a big sucker for "Fight Club". I just love the movie's aesthetics and the character's growth, and that ending twist is quite good. It was also a fairly uplifting movie in my darkest hours so it holds a fairly special place to me. I still love "The Lion King" to pieces and was by far my favorite movie as a kid. My whole room was decorated with Lion King merchandises to say the least. Though I did not care enough about the 3D remake last year to go see it, so I never did (to be honest the animation from the trailers really bugged me for some reason and it just threw me off more than anything). "12 Angry Men" really impressed me with its clever plot development despite being such an old movie. Probably the oldest movie I could rewatch again and again seamlessly. "Final Destination" is my all-time biggest guilty pleasure. I love its atmosphere and the tension around the deaths, even though it has a very hollow plot and abysmal characters. It's just a fun romp throughout. "23 Days Later" is also a great movie for its grimy atmosphere and really chilling moments, but the characters aren't terrible actually this time. "Forest Gump" and "Shawhank Redemption" are two very charming movies that are hard to dislike. Same with "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" though I don't really remember much of it. That's all I can of my favorite movies as of right now

I'll just keep this to a top twenty-five, or else we'll be here all night.
In no particular order:
1. Casablanca 2. It's a Wonderful Life 3. Blues Brothers 4. The Way, Way Back 5. Napoleon Dynamite 6. Wall-E 7. Inception 8. Memento 9. Sky High 10. Mulan 11. Fiddler on the Roof 12. Annie Hall 13. Young Frankenstein 14. The Odd Couple 15. The Grand Budapest Hotel 16. The Darjeeling Limited 17. As Good As It Gets 18. Spirited Away 19. Pulp Fiction 20. Lost in Translation 21. Moonrise Kingdom 22. Jurassic Park 23. Whisper of the Heart 24. Garden State 25. Wreck-It Ralph
Seriously, I could go on for several more pages of Golden Age Hollywood films and Bill Murray dramatic roles.
