I also think the argument could be made for it being sexist too with it's depiction of women as objects ("money for nothin' and your chicks for free"). I thought for so long that it was "money for nothing and your cheques for free". Funnily enough, that misheard lyric actually makes sense! I always thought it was "your cheques for free" as well funnily enough.  Yeah, it's a shame that it isn't the actual lyric, because it would definitely better suit the song!

"Africa" by Toto is a good call. I always found that it had a pretty irritating hook and sophomoric use of synths, even for an AOR song.
There was a moment in 2017/2018 where that song got memed to death and I definitely can't say I miss that.

"Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams is incredibly overrated and overplayed. I change the station anytime that one comes on the radio.

I honestly think that Another One Bites the Dust gets overplayed a lot on the radio. Not necessarily my favorite song by Queen but it’s definitely catchy.

Honestly most 80s mainstream pop/rock, synth-pop and hard rock is overrated and has gotten too overplayed over the last 3 decades. People should stop playing micheal jackson and bruce springsteen hits.
I think a lot of mainstream new wave, post punk, early hip hop and punk is underrated. Although 70s punk for a period of time in 2000s/2010s was a bit overpraised and hipsters tried to make post punk cool for a while.
