So my old school have banned students on campus until the end of June (which is the next school holidays) and going fully online. I feel as if Victoria are ahead of the country when it comes to schools. Gladys and Scomo take note! However, when I went to the supermarket today, a lot of people are out on the streets and there were lots of cars too which surprised me. Also, hope everyone is doing well and staying safe I think virtually every school down here are closed and have transitioned to online now. I’m unsure of when they plan to reopen (most likely similar to Victorian schools I’m guessing). That's interesting to hear! My local supermarkets are pretty busy at times (naturally), but I have noticed there are tumbleweeds on and around our main CBD streets at all hours atm, which surprises me a little, but it’s good to see that the majority of people down here have taken in the advice from the government and authorities.

China only had schools close for like three weeks, and their schools are open right now since Lunar New Year. Schools in the US were closed for almost a month, and this really blows. As a coding instructor, I have to teach my students using Zoom rather than in person, which is really hard as I cannot see what all my students are doing at the same time.

I'm sorry I have to call you out on this one. That's just not true. Chinese schools closed in January for Chinese New Year and would have normally returned mid-Feb. Instead the students have had around 8 weeks of online classes. Some students - those in final year of high school - might be returning next week. But for 99.9%, it's still online class.

Wow, Canada has such an eloquent queen. Australia can't compete.

Good. I'm glad that Australia is taking this approach amid all of the pressure to lift the restrictions now, because lifting them prematurely could result in a sharp increase in the number of confirmed cases.

If there is a God, then why does he let horrible stuff like this happen?

If there is a God, then why does he let horrible stuff like this happen? Honestly, it’s stuff like coronavirus that makes me even more atheist. If God is supposedly good, then why is the world currently going through the worst pandemic in the 21st century? Why is there still bad in the world? Why do people commit suicide? The whole idea that there’s an all-loving God just doesn’t make any sense to me. I feel like the only reason people feel better after praying is cause they truly believe that God heard them.

If there is a God, then why does he let horrible stuff like this happen? He apparently works in mysterious ways, which is just a cop-out of why atrocities like this happen, imo. But even then, I think everyone should believe or not believe whatever they want with how the world functions.

Not to appear as a religion apologist, but I think it's exactly in these sorts of time that people seek out more spiritual fulfillment as a getaway from this world and the toxicity of the medias/social media, and have something to look forward to during this sort of grim times.
I was actually thinking of getting myself into meditation lately.

Oh, man. We're probably gonna see over 2-3 million cases by early May as this virus continues to rapidly spread. Uhm, 2 million could easily be reached by mid-April actually. Remember that the more people catch it, the more it is easily spread. Got it right on the money. It's exactly mid-April and we've just reached 2 million!
