Does anybody remember collecting Planet Lunch points (sometimes referred to as “ploids”) on the back of little bags of chips? If you collected enough points you would send them to frito-lay where you would get something from their catalog of stuff. I remember getting a mini safe and an inflatable chair from there. I’ve heard of people digging through the trash just to find some of these points but I wasn’t one of them.

I'm not familiar with them, but they were most likely only available in the US.

I remember something like this for Coca-Cola (or it might have been some other drink). You would collect the bottle caps (or the can opening things), and they would have different parts of a bicycle drawn on it. Once you collected all of them, you would get a Coca-Cola branded bicycle. I'm not sure if this competition happened in the US, this was in 1998 or 1999. Anyway, despite drinking 1000 bottles of Coke, I never got all the parts.
