I'll go with 1990 purely because of the cheesiness of the early 90's. the final year of NES greatness The Mario 3 hype was unreal at the time.

1999. Clean atmosphere and It was right before the next millennium, the 2000s my favorite era. But I do really like 1997. 1999 would be my favourite year of the late 90s. So many good games, and Pokémon/DBZ at their peak, and Power Rangers had it second best season after 1998 (sorry MMPR fans, I'm just speaking objectively), and the Y2K hype was amazing. Main downside is the technology started to get overwhelming (though exciting at the same time). And the fashion is my least favourite of the decade, to put it nicely.

My friend worked on Lost Galaxy and In Space, So many things were cut from Lost Galaxy I hated that season

I'm pretty sure she was in that one. that had a crossover arc yeah. The main LG pink got cancer and they called Cassie to come in and replace her and use the Space and LG powers back and forth but she got into a huge argument at Saban over pay and started throwing stuff and she was fired and escorted out of the building, instead they got Astronoma to resume the roll. They cut so many interesting story lines out of that season =( Even Zordon was suppose to come back from the dead as like a mystic energy

I've said this before, but 1999 as a year is definitely underrated. There was more to it than just frosted tips, Britney Spears and Pokemania. I used to fall into the trap of only ever perceiving it that way. So yeah, I like the fact that I was born in a pretty decent year for pop culture.

1993. For personal reasons, not pop culture reasons as I'd lost all interest by then.

I can't help but say 1999 because that year feels like the focal point of all popular culture that defined me.

The music was rubbish, John, apart from 'Regret' by New Order and 'I Would Do Anything For Love' by Meat Loaf. I didn't pay attention to films and games as I'm not a movie buff and I'm not a gamer. I was too old by then anyway to take any notice.
