I thought this would be an interesting idea for a thread, considering that we all come from different countries. What are your thoughts on Halloween? Do you like it or do you think it shouldn't be celebrated?
From an Australian perspective, I don't like the fact that Halloween is celebrated here. It's not even apart of our own local culture. Halloween has always been celebrated in Australia in some form, but it has only become a "big deal" within the past 5-10 years. When I was a kid, hardly anyone went trick or treating. You would get one or two people who would, but most people didn't. I can understand why it is popular in America, because it's apart of their culture and it really is like a celebration.

True, but it means that you need to dress up or go in a costume, lol. I do not mind at all. I believe I would dress as a cat and maybe trick and treat myself But I thought you were already a Skittles Cat? Why would you need to dress up as a cat?

Oh well, I guess thats just part of it Did you used to go trick or treating a lot when you were younger? I only went once (when I was 8), but I didn't really dress up as anything and I only went to my neighbour's house (with my Mum), lol.

Dressing up as an M&M seems like a really strange idea. What's so spooky about that? Most of the kids in my neighbourhood don't even dress up as anything! Never knock on strangers houses kids...only on Halloween you can though! Haha, that's so true.
