I do admire the overall campiness of the aesthetic. The aesthetic themselves aren't bad, the problem for me is the hipster attitude.

I need to take a shower and feel dirty just thinking about it

Hipster culture in the 2010s did help make 80s and 90s nostalgia more mainstream which was good but sometimes it was too mainstream especially in the mid 2010s. I felt like many of the same people who were really into the cringiest trends in the 2000s, tended adopt the more superficial and annoying parts of the hipster style.

I felt like many of the same people who were really into the cringiest trends in the 2000s, tended adopt the more superficial and annoying parts of the hipster style. oh def, I have friends that were in pop punk bands (some pretty high profile ones) that all of a sudden sounded like Mumford and Sons as soon as the mid 2010s came, and they were drinking vegan green drinks and growing their beard out long. Friends that I knew that had Diamond tattoos on them in the late 2000s all of a sudden got it removed and were now wearing suspenders and big glasses. It is laughable how fast people conformed to that lifestyle out of sheep mentality. I remember the poly Hipster meet up my friend tricked me into attending ( I had no idea what the meet up was) and EVERY girl had this hair cut I left like 5 min after being offered a vegan burger. They were scolding me for not being Vegan. Turns out a year later like 4 people in that hipster club got STDs.
