Any other Paper Mario fans? From the looks of it, it looks to be returning the series to its roots or positively indifferent at least. I'm interesting in Mario working with his enemies.

I never got into Paper Mario for some reason. You probably just prefer the simplistic side of Mario. To each his own. The Mario RPG's are great if you want more in depth stories. I was never into it as a kid, but I wouldn't mind trying it now. If you end up enjoying the game, go back and play The Thousand Year Door.

I've been burnt by too many mediocre Paper Mario games. I remember the 3DS version was really forgettable, and while I haven't played the Wii/Wii U versions but it's obvious from the critical reception that they don't hold a candle to the N64/Gamecube versions.

I literally haven't played Paper Mario since TTYD so I'm staying optimistic. The whole heavily working with Bowser draws me in and I already have the Switch.
