Music : I'm not a fan of the current Top-40 releases at all. The Mid 2010s turned out to be one of the most uninspiring and lacklustre periods for mainstream music in recent history and so far, 2017 hasn't been any different IMO. There has been a severe lack of variety on the Top-40 charts for quite some time now. EDM and trap are still dominating the charts. The only song which I don't mind is Harry Styles' "Sign of the Times" (never thought I would be saying that ), however I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it. Movies : 2017 has been an underwhelming year for films, in my opinion. What's with all of the reboots and sequels? If you look at the Top-10 highest grossing films of 2017 so far, all but one ("The Boss Baby") have been reboots or sequels of already existing franchises. Further sequels are anticipated to be released, with "Cars 3", "Transformers : The Last Knight", "Despicable Me 3", "War for the Planet of the Apes" and "Spider-Man : Homecoming" all being released in the next few weeks. TV Shows: As for television, 2017 has again been quite an ordinary year for television shows as well. While shows such as "The Walking Dead" are still performing well, others have either been lacklustre or have not performed as expected. On the local front, the television landscape continues to be over-saturated with reality formats.

Imo 2017 hasn't been the greatest year for movies either, however 2018/9 are looking promising

Music-wise, I think the 2010’s have been good. My favorite music genre is hip-hop and I also like some trap music as well. That’s exactly what this decade offers.
Movie-wise, it’s ok. I personally thought that 2017 was a great year for movies. I watched many movies from that year and they were all really good.
TV: The 2010’s IMO has the best television shows. I definitely agree that we are in the Golden age for TV.
