The Scooby Doo movie released in 2002 screams early 2000s, IMO. Looking back, the storyline and subtle references ("Mary Jane") weren't really appropriate for a kids film, lol.

This is the second movie I saw when I was in my first relationship, I walked out and saw Spider-Man instead, early 2000s was a MAGICAL year for movies

Yeah, from like 1999 till 2003, movies were just pure gold. You had some real cerebral gems like Memento and Fight Club on the one hand and really fun or epic flicks like Shrek and the Lord of the Rings trilogy on the other.

I am a tech geek and my favorite one is Office Space. Mike Judge just doesn't know how great of a movie that is. I read an entertainment news site article once that said Mike thinks that he is horrible at making movies. I think he is wrong. I think he is talented. I would like for him to make a sequel to Office Space.

I've kinda overwatched it so I don't love it as much as I used to, but I will say Mike Judge definitely has a pulse on the heart of America. Between Office Space, Beavis 'n' Butthead, King of the Hill, and the others (like the severely underrated and ahead-of-its-time The Goode Family), he really does seem to understand Americans better than they understand themselves.

I was thinking Cat In The Hat, but someone else already said that. If you’ve heard about “Home Alone 4” ( 2002 movie ) I would say it feels pretty Early 00’s, even though it’s a really bad movie.

IMO the first Fast and Furious was quite early 2000s, especially with the nu metal in the soundtrack like Saliva and Limp Bizkit. IMO I feel that movie helped give birth to the McBling aesthetic that would define the mid-2000s (and peaked around the time Tokyo Drift came out). 8 Mile is early 2000s based sheerly off it being based on Eminem, including the usage of his most famous song, Lose Yourself. Freddy Got Fingered is a VERY controversial movie that's also quite early 2000s. It has Eminem in the credits, and just exudes that early 2000s sense of shock humor. Oh, and Jackass: The Movie is very early 2000s in that respect too.

This trailer literally has a Limp Bizkit song in it, and at the end, they also mention an AOL keyword. You can't get more early 2000s than that LMAO

About the Scooby-Doo Movie, I disagree a little bit. The movie to me just gives off strong Y2K Aesthetic Vibes. Like Late 1999/2000 ish. Probably the last movie that gives off that kind of vibe. Now Scooby Doo 2 on the other hand though, yes that flick is Early 2000s.
