The fact that 1990 is now three decades ago is still something I find hard to believe. Even though the decade is now so long ago, the '90s really doesn't seem old to me at all, and that's coming from someone who was born right at the end of the decade and has no memories of them. In fact, I would even go as far as saying in that they are still very much modern and relatable. Sure the technology may be outdated now and a lot has changed in the world since then, but the pop culture and aesthetics from the decade have generally held up really well IMO. Whether it's because I was born in the '90s and that's maybe having something of an influence on my perception of them, i'm not sure, however they definitely don't feel as though they are thirty-something years ago.
How old do the '90s feel for you?

We are only in the first year of the 2020s, you'll never know what 2025 or even 2021 will have in store for us. The 90s might feel mostly removed in 5 years. Still, it's so crazy how the 60s and 90s are 30 years apart from each other. The 60s were really old-school looking whereas the 90s is old school too but it still has many things that are relatable.

The decade feels pretty dated already, but I agree with mc98 that the '90s still feel relatable. I think I've mentioned this before but I'd say it's arguable that any decade from the '80s onward will still feel relatable because we've been stuck in postmodernism and neoliberalism all this time. Until we shake those with a new societal order and artistic philosophy, we're still going to feel mostly connected to the '80s, '90s, and '00s.

I like to use the analogy that the 1950s-'70s were the "building blocks" for modern-day society, while the 1980s to now would be the "consolidation" phase.

I would add the 1940s to that bloc, at least in American history and culture, but I agree.

pretty dated tbh, even 1999 feels dated, but not dated in the same way the 80s feel dated. in fact the early 2000s are already dated in my eyes

From a 2021 perspective,
Early 90s - Retro/Very Different
Mid 90s - Old School
Late 90s - Outdated

Every single second of living in the 90s was better than the 2000s to 2021 even with all the drawbacks.
1989/1990 to the first half of 1992 : Retro Mid 1992 to mid 1994: Old school Late 1994 to mid 1997: Old Late 1997 to mid 1999 : Dated but very minor similarities with the present

Every single year in the 90s feels retro to me even 1999. There’s nothing from that era that relates to today.

Early 90s: Retro
Late 90s: Dated (in the same sense as the early-mid 2000s).

There's something about 1999 that has stayed not bad. Like a symbolic climax or something.
The early 90's don't just look like a different world to me now but they have for a very long time.

Right, the early 90s have been seen as ancient since the late 00s/early 10s It's not the same with the early 00s nowadays for some reaso
