Childhood: The second-half of 2002 to Early 2011
Adolescence: Early 2009 to Late 2018.
Adulthood: Mid 2016 to the present day.
D.O.B (13th March 1999) to Late 2000: - Defined by me learning how to crawl, talk etc. I have no memory of this era.
Late 2000/Early 2001 to December 2002: - The period between my infancy and me starting pre-school in January 2003. I've got vague memories from this time, with my memories becoming more consistent as the months went on.
January 2003 to September 2006: - Absolute peak childhood. I know the Late 2006 Shift is something of a meme among all of us, but September 2006 really was a significant turning point for me personally. When I was 18 months old, I had a fall which resulted in me falling face first onto the kitchen tiles and killing the roots in one of my front teeth in the process. I had a black tooth right up until the age of 7 and I was really self-conscious about it, I didn't smile properly in photos and I didn't like people commenting about the tooth. In September, I had dental surgery to have the black tooth removed.
As big as this "era" may seem, me getting my black tooth removed in September '06 really does feel like the closing of a chapter. It was a period of my childhood defined by me personally feeling self-conscious and reserved. I was actually supposed to start Kindergarten in Early 2004, however my parents decided to hold me back as I had speech clarity issues and I used to get frustrated from people not understanding what I was saying. Even when I did start Kindergarten a year later, I had to actually attend speech therapy lessons once a week, which did help a lot once I finished the lessons by the end of the year.
October 2006 to March 2009: This was like the 'extroverted' period of my life (even though I've always been an introvert, lol). Getting my black tooth removed did so much to improve my self-esteem. During this period, I was very confident, outgoing and talkative. You can even see the difference when you compare photos of me from this time with photos of me taken during my earlier childhood years. This is also the period that I have the most amount of nostalgia for.
April 2009 to February 2011: My pre-teens! As I started to gradually transition out of my childhood, I began to become more reserved again and I had mostly felt too old for kids things.
March 2011 to January 2013: The awkward early teen years.
February 2013 to May 2016: Peak teens. This era ends with me getting my drivers license in May 2016, which was when I first started to feel like a young adult.
June 2016 to February 2019: Transition to young adulthood, starting from me getting my drivers license and ending with me turning 20 in March 2019 (officially ending my teens).
March 2019 to NOW: Outright young adulthood.
