I have mixed feelings in regards to 1980. It would have to be the weakest year for music out of the entire decade due to the charts at the time being defined by yacht-rock, adult contemporary pop and disco (which is why I've only listed ten songs). However, 1980 also happened to be the year in which some of my all-time favourite '80s songs were released, so I can't be too critical of it:
1. "Ant Music" - Adam and the Ants
2. "I Got You" - Split Enz (This was the best-selling song of 1980 here in Australia)
3. "Crazy Train" - Ozzy Osbourne
4. "Can't Help Myself" - Flowers
5. "Just Keep Walking" - INXS
6. "(Just Like) Starting Over" - John Lennon
7. "We Can Get Together" - Flowers
8. "Another One Bites The Dust" - Queen
9. "No Secrets" - The Angels
10. "Call Me" - Blondie
