Early 2010s: 2011
This one speaks for itself. Early 2011 was like the peak of the electropop era. Songs like "Party Rock Anthem" and "Somebody I Used To Know" represent the early '10s very well, as well as early trap emerging after Waka Flocka's "Flockaveli" dropped in October 2010. Any 2000s influences that were still present in 2010 are gone or unnoticeable in 2011.
Close contender: 2012
Mid 2010s: 2015
Trap goes commercial in 2015 with Fetty Wap. Travis Scott, though more of a Late 10s artist, drops his first album. Electropop is gone but EDM pop hasn't yet took over until 2016/2017.
Close contender: 2014
Late 2010s: 2018
The year after all the "punk" trap artists like Lil Pump, 6ix9ine, Lil Uzi Vert, XXXTentacion emerged in 2017. The colorful hair, colorful faces (see, 6ix9ine), lyrics all about lean and xanax. Kinda hard to believe that this era of hip hop is now gone, but I'm thankful at the same time. 2018 is also the last year that you really heard EDM pop a lot.
Close contender: 2017

I agree with what you said except for the mid-2010s period. I personally believe that 2016 (early-mid part) was the peak of the mid-2010s with Vine, "dank" memes, trap, EDM, Ariana Grande/Shawn Mendes/etc teen pop, and Pokémon Go all being popular that year.
