If so, what were they?

Yeah there was. Apps like Kik, Skype, and ooVoo were still relevant. Discord wasn’t released yet, Trump still didn’t announce his campaign. From what I remember, it was the last school year to have any early 2010’s influences left.

I wouldn't say late 2014/early 2015 has significant early 2010s influences like 2013/14. It also barely has any late 2010s influence like 2015/16, making it the last period to feel completely removed from today. 2014/15 definitely was the peak of the mid 2010s without much influences from the early and late parts. Late 2015-early 2018 is distant and different but not fully detached from today.

No there wasn't. I was in high school between 2012-2017, and the difference between the youth culture that was popular when I was in Year 7 (2012) and when I was in Year 9 (2014) was like day and night. The second-half of 2014 and the first-half of 2015 were pure Mid 2010s culture, if anything.

I personally consider 2013 to have been a Mid 2010s cultural year overall, however a lot of the trends that were popular during the early 2010s did carryover into the first few months of 2013. Electropop was still on the charts (though it was on its way out), it was the last time in which scene had any relevancy whatsoever, Facebook was still the most popular social media site among teens. However, the second-half of 2014 was noticeably removed from the culture that was popular c. 2009-2012. Music in general had become much more minimalist in sound/style thanks to the success of indie-pop, Snapchat and Instagram had become the most popular social media sites, #hashtags and 'selfies' were a thing, and pop culture as a whole wasn't as geared towards Millennials as what it had been a few years earlier.

From what I remember, it was the last school year to have any early 2010’s influences left. Trump's election and "Make America Great Again" campaign are mid 2010's but his inauguration and 1st term are late 2010's things, bearing in mind his campaign and election occurred throughout fall 2015 through most of 2016 when mid 2010's culture was still dominant in 2015-2016, him being elected in Fall 2016, then inaugurated in Spring 2017 set up his presidency for the remainder of the 2010's. I get a feeling that Discord may still be popular throughout this decade too, we'll just have to wait and see about that, but you're right Discord definitely did peak throughout the late 2010's, 2015-2016 was the last time Skype was popular for video chatting, 2016-2017 was the transition from Skype to Discord, and since 2017-2018 Discord has been the No.1 app for video chatting.

I'm sure there was, but I always viewed that school year to be straight up mid-2010's culture.

2014-2015 is fully mid 2010s but had the first seeds and elements of what would spring up in late 2015-2017/2018 which outweigh very few remaining things from the early 2010s during that year.
2013-2014 is also mostly or almost fully a mid 2010s but had more early and very little late if anything at all, so much of 2013-2014 influenced the entire remaining decade as well.
