2010 seems like a very cheesy year in general.

Toss up between 2010 and 2011, Baby by Justin Bieber, Party Rock Anthem and Sexy And I Know It by LMFAO, Friday by Rebecca Black, Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5, and so on. In my list, 2011 outcounts 2010 by 4/5 so I'll give it to 2011 for the cheesiest year of the 2010s.

2014 no contest. It was the year of Flappy Bird, #Selfie, Ice Bucket Challenge, All About That Bass, the twerk obsession at its peak, children's movie songs like Let It Go and Happy being blasted on daily basis. 2015, hipster at every corner, every coffee shop, hipster font in commercials no escape Same for 2014, just with tons more bright pastel colors.

I voted 2013. It’s such a crazy stereotypical 2010s year. We had The Harlem Shake, What Does The Fox Say?, Miley Cyrus Bangerz era, twerking, Vine was still fresh and fun, the word “selfie” was everywhere, hashtags were everywhere, Beyoncé’s crazy/funny Super Bowl pics, songs like “Thriftshop”, “Blurred Lines”, and “Roar” topping the charts and every pop song sounded like a stereotypical 2010s song ( “I Love It” by Icona Pop, “Clarity” by Zedd, “Wake Me Up” by Avicii). Everything cheesy about the 2010s seem to all be packed into 2013 haha

I love how every year between 2010-2015 got votes. I loved (most) this decade 😭
I'm going to go with 2011 but the entire first half and 2015 gets a participation trophy.

I love how every year between 2010-2015 got votes. The tone of the decade certainly changed around 2015-2016 huh. I personally think 2019 recovered some of that 2010s cheese back, but 2016-2018 were unnormally downbeat years for pop culture. It would be more and more strange to look back at them in the future

2012, 2013-2014 and 2016-2017.
2010, 2011, 2015, 2018, 2019 don't strike me as cheesy compared to the above, they were a bit calmer within their own eras compared to those years.

2011 I would say is the cheesiest. 2010, 2013, and 2014 would be behind. Least cheesy would be 2018. Dark as 2017 was, it did have The Emoji Movie and It's Everyday Bro, so that disqualifies it.

IDK to me 2014 is way too raunchy/sexual to really register as cheesy to me. I associate cheesiness with stuff that’s really goofy and lighthearted. Happy by Pharrell Williams to me is cheesy as fuck precisely for that reason. Otherwise, if anything, 2014 is when the 2010s started getting edgier and M-rated. 2011/2012 was a lot more kid-friendly and goofy. It was the time of Gangnam Style, Call Me Maybe, Friday, and Party Rock Anthem, plus the peaks of Justin Bieber and One Direction. To me, that is the true cheesiest era of the 2010s.
