Apparently it's US-only. I hope it stays that way. I don't want theatres to die out. The thought of watching a brand new movie all alone in your bedroom sounds really depressing. And if you call your friend to watch a new movie together they're gonna say they already watched it. The theatre experience just helps to create memories.

I agree I hope it does not happen but it prob will There is something about seeing a movie opening weekend at a AMC or Cinemark with that BIG TIME BIG LIGHTS BIG ACTION VIBE, walking up the mini stairs and finding a seat. There is just something about it.

The in-theater experience sucked even before COVID-19. People using bright cell phones in the middle of the fucking movie, kids and teens talking loudly to each other, every step in the showroom is over sticky soda-stained floors, and even the tickets cost like $20+. It's just not worth it. I'll take home viewings over that in a heartbeat.

Come on... thats still more of an experience than watching it on your laptop.

As far as I'm concerned, that's all I need.
