I would go with the late 2010s era despite the COVID-19 shutdowns, because it felt more like an extension of late 2018-2019 culture.

March 11, 2020 was the cutoff point. The Very Early 2020s lifestyle with Covid 19 started, though late 2010s culture is still ongoing even today. Covid 19 becoming a pandemic due to Italy becoming the epicenter, NBA and other sports season suspensions or cancels, cancel of the 2020 Olympics, lockdowns around the world due to rising cases, and cancelation of major events like Coachella and SXSW 2020.
Note that the Coronavirus lifestyle of social distancing or not going to events/parties won't last months after the vaccine gets delivered to everyone (Summer 2021)

It leans more late 2010s but it's a little bit different from 2017-18.

18-19 is the last definite 2010's school year, 19-20 is leaning 2010's, and 20-21 is solid early 2020's.

Kinda stands on its own, so transitional leaning late 2010s.

Transitional obviously. COVID was a massive gamechanger.

I really do miss the sense of optimism in late 2019 - Feb 2020.
