Does anybody think that comedy in general as a genre went significantly downhill in the 2010s? That's not to say that there wasn't good comedy in the decade, it's just that overall I didn't enjoy what the '10s had to offer as much as the '90s or 2000s. It seems like most comedies in the '10s were of the action-comedy genre and I've never been a fan of that genre because to me they are almost all the same (and have been since Austin Powers) and they all rely on the same tropes.
In the '10s, you didn't have the same quality of iconic young adult comedies that you did in the 2000s. Also, comedians that dominated the 90s and 00s such as Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, etc all seemed to hit a point in the '10s where they weren't as funny as they once were.
Once again, I'm not saying that the 2010s didn't have any comedy gems because there were some. It just seems like it was far less than the 90s or 00s. The 2010s in film were more about sci-fi, dystopian future, fantasy, and 90s kid nostalgia with a heavy dose of thrillers, dramas, and jump scare horrors.
Does anyone else agree?

Yes. Blame political correctness. Television producers are afraid to take risks due to the repercussions it may bring in the age of social media. As a result, comedies in particular have heavily suffered from it and they have been watered down to the point where they can't possibly offend anyone.
Things have changed a lot since the 2000s. I have actually been re-watching some of the later-season episodes of "Malcolm In The Middle" over the past week and even some of the jokes in those episodes wouldn't be deemed as being acceptable anymore. One example I can think of in particular is an episode from 2005 where Malcolm is implied to have slept with a middle-aged woman and the episode brushes it over. There's no way a subplot like that would be included in a family sitcom today.

I find comedies are diffused across other genres, such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpoole, Zootopia etc. Other than 21/22 Jump Street I can't think of a Dude, Where's My Car? type comedy the 2000s are (in?)famous for.

2010s humor
"HAHAH see look I said a joke about the color blue the color of the suit the man has on (winks at hard camera facing the viewers)"
That is the 2010s humor, the irony meme type humor is not funny anymore it overstayed it's welcome and infiltrated shows I find VERY unfunny like Big Bang theory.

I can't tell which one was best period within the 2000s for comedy. Can't tell which was better mid 2000s or early 2000s. I don't think it was the late 2000s.

Comedy in the 2010s was mainly carried by Vine. That humor was pretty terrific.

When I think 2010s humor I think of either “LOL random XD” humor, “subtle” fourth-wall breaking post-modern humor, forced memes and/or pop culture references to relate to the youth…or Minions.
