I'm a big fan of the MCU when it comes to the decade overall, but I think the year 2010 was an absolute giant in genre films:
Megamind
Tangled
Inception
Tron: Legacy
Toy Story 3
How to Train Your Dragon
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1 (legit the only HP film I actually still enjoy)
Kick-Ass
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
True Grit
(Not to mention some of the fantastic mid-sized films like Nowhere Boy and Somewhere.)
Obviously other years adjacent to it (2009, 2011, etc.) do also have fantastic movies, but it's always 2010 that I look back to for action and animation.
